The Edward Szymański Park (Polish: ''Park im. Edwarda Szymańskiego'') is an urban park in Warsaw, Poland. It is located in the neighbourhood of Ulrychów, within the district of Wola, between Elekcyjna Street, Wolska Street, Prymas Tysiąclecia Avenue, and Górczewska Street. It was opened in 1974. Edward Szymański (poet)
Edward Stanisław Szymański (7 September 1936 – 7 June 2025) was a Polish politician. A member of the Polish United Workers' Party and subsequently the Democratic Left Alliance, he served in the Sejm from 1976 to 1989 and was acting chief of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland in 1997 and 2005. Moczydło Park
The Moczydło Park () is an urban park in Warsaw, Poland, within the district of Wola. It is located in the neighbourhood of Koło, between Deotymy, Górczewska, and Czorsztyńska Streers, and Primate of the Millennium Avenue. It was developed in the 1960s. Historia At the end of the 19th century, within the area of the current park, was opened a brickwork owned by the company Kohen i Oppenheim, run by Isser Kohen and Uszer Oppenheim. It was placed at t 5 Cegielna Street, near the current intersection of Górczewska and Primate of the Millennium Avenue. After the death of its owner, Oppenheim in 1930, it continued to operate with Stanisław Grosman in charge. It was shut down in 1939, and bought by the city the same year, before the outbreak of the Second World War. The operation left behind clay pits, which were later flooded forming four small ponds. Sowiński Park
The General Józef Sowiński Park, also simply known as the Sowiński Park, is an urban park in Warsaw, Poland. It is located in the neighbourhood of Ulrychów, within the district of Wola, between Elekcyjna Street and Wolska Street, Warsaw, Wolska Street. It was opened in 1936. History The park was proposed by the Friends of Wola Society, commotioned by the mayor of Warsaw, Stefan Starzyński, and designed by Zygmunt Hellwig and Kazimierz Kozłowski. It was opened on 3 August 1936. The park was named after Józef Sowiński, a 19th-century general in the Polish insurgent military of the November Uprising.
