''Eduardo Verástegui'' is the eponymous solo studio album recorded by Mexican actor and singer Eduardo Verástegui. It was recorded in Miami, Florida after he split up with the Mexican boy band / vocal band Kairo made up of Jean Paul Forat Morales and Francisco Carlos Zorrilla González. Verástegui had already two albums successful albums with Kairo: ''Signo del tiempo'' (1994) and ''Gaudium'' (1995) and compilation albums ''Cara a cara'' (1996) (jointly with Magneto) and ''Éxitos'' (1997). Eduardo Verástegui
José Eduardo Verástegui Córdoba (; born May 21, 1974) is a Mexican actor, activist, singer, and producer. He was part of the band Kairo and later embarked on a solo music career before he started appearing in Mexican telenovelas and eventually feature films like '' Chasing Papi'', ''Bella'', and '' Little Boy'', the latter two produced by his own production company, Metanoia. Various media outlets have described his political ideas as ultra-conservative, far-right and social-darwinist. Currently, Verástegui directs the Viva México movement. On September 7, 2023, he registered as an independent candidate for the 2024 Mexican presidential election. He was later disqualified from the election as he did not meet the required signatures. Verástegui is active on social media, and has an active YouTube channel of nearly 300,000 subscribers. Magneto (band)
Magneto was a popular Mexican boy band of the 1980s and 1990s. The band formed on February 14, 1983. In 1986, Magneto was featured in "Siempre en Domingo," a Mexican entertainment show viewed across Latin America and parts of Europe. Mexican teen pop group Magneto emerged in 1983. Their first record, Dejalo Que Gire came in 1984, followed by Super 6 Magneto. The Latin pop outfit suffered several lineup changes before achieving their first gold record in 1986. Mostly playing dance-pop songs, the five-member ensemble started touring Central America after climbing charts with "Todo Esta Muy Bien," and "Soy Un Soñador." Kairo (band)
Kairo was a Mexican pop vocal group established in 1993 as a trio made up of Paul Forat, Francisco Zorrilla and Eduardo Verástegui, a future actor and politician. As members left, starting with Verástegui in 1996, they were replaced with others like Gabriel Soto and Roberto Assad, who both joined in 1997, and Paulo César Quevedo in 1998. The band folded in 1999. Career Kairo was conceptualized by Toño Berumen as an all-male trio boy band in 1993. Kairo's first single was "En los espejos de un café" based on the Italian group 883's hit "Nord sud ovest est".
