Edmar Galovskyi de Lacerda (; born 16 June 1980) often known as simply Edmar, born as Edmar de Lacerda Aparecida, is a retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in Brazil, he was naturalized as a Ukrainian and has played fifteen times and scored one goal for the Ukraine national football team. Career Club On 21 February 2017, Boca Raton announced the signing of Edmar. International Edmar made his debut for Ukraine on 10 August 2011, in a 0–1 loss against Sweden in a friendly match at his club ground in Kharkiv, replacing Ruslan Rotan for the final 17 minutes. Edmar Mednis
Edmar John Mednis (; March 22, 1937 – February 13, 2002) was an American chess player and writer of Latvian origin. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 1980. Biography Mednis' family were refugees in 1944 during World War II. As displaced persons, Edmar and his two sisters, with parents Edvin and Marita Mednis, were permitted to emigrate to the United States in 1950. Mednis was trained as a chemical engineer, then worked as a stockbroker, but became best known as a chess author. He wrote 26 chess books, including ''Practical Rook Endings'' (1982) and ''Strategic Chess: Mastering the Closed Game'' (1993), and hundreds of chess articles. He and Robert Byrne annotated many games for ''Chess Informant''. Mednis finished second in the 1955 World Junior Championship behind Boris Spassky (the two drew their game). Edmar Castañeda (born 1978) is a Colombian harpist. He performs his own compositions as well as tapping into native music of Colombia and Venezuela. He leads a trio with David Silliman on drums and Marshall Gilkes on trombone. He has also been a member of the Andrea Tierra Quartet with Andrea Tierra, Sam Sadigursky, and David Silliman. Castañeda's father was Pavelid Castañeda, a harpist, singer, and teacher. Edmar Castañeda began playing the harp at the age of 13. Edmar Figueira (born 13 May 1984) is a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Figueira made his first football steps as a youth in Brazilian clubs Paraná Soccer Technical Center (PSTC), União Bandeirante and Paranavaí. Edmar Guilherme Hermany is a Brazilian politician. Born on 25 September 1946 (Formosa, now the district of Santa Cruz do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul), son of Edwaldo Waldemar Hermany and Romilda Hermina Hermany. He is married to Helena Hermany and father of three. He majored in Law and Social Sciences at the Law School of the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria in 1975.
