Edamalakkudy
Edamalakkudy, or Idamalakkudy, is a remote tribal village and gram panchayat between the Idamalayar Reserve Forest and Mankulam Forest Division of the Anaimalai Hills in the Idukki district of the Indian state of Kerala. Location Edamalakudy is located at an elevation of 1100–1700 metres, 22 km north-west of Pettimudi, a village about 4 km west of the Anamudi, the tallest mountain peak in South India on the border of Ernakulam district and Idukki district. Pettimudi was hit by a landslide in 2018 and the debris have not been cleared. Pettimudi is not very remote, but is still not easy to reach as the path is hilly and fog is common and often intense, passing through the Eravikulam National Park, 16 km from Munnar by road and 18 km from Aanakkulam by walking through thick forests. Kothamangalam
Kothamangalam () is a municipality at the foot of the Western Ghats in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. It is located east of the district collectorate in Thrikkakara and about north of the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. Idukki District
Idukki (ഇടുക്കി; ) is one of the 14 districts in the Indian state of Kerala in the southwest of the country. It is the largest district in Kerala and lies amid the Cardamom Hills of Western Ghats in Kerala. Idukki district contains two municipal towns – Kattappana and Thodupuzha, and five taluks. The district was constituted on 26 January 1972, by taking Peerumade, Udumbanchola, Devikulam taluks of the former High Range division from Kottayam district and the Thodupuzha taluk from Ernakulam district. Kuttampuzha is a village and gram panchayat in Ernakulam district in the Indian state of Kerala.2001 Village code=00087900 Situated 71 km east of Kochi, Kuttampuzha panchayat is home to the 17.7% of total area of the Ernakulam District. Aluva Railway Station
Aluva railway station (station code: AWY) is an NSG–3 category Indian railway station in Thiruvananthapuram railway division of Southern Railway zone. It is a railway station mainly catering to the passengers from the northern part of the city of Kochi in the Indian state of Kerala. Idamalayar Dam
Idamalayar Dam is a multipurpose concrete gravity dam located at Ennakkal between Ayyampuzha and Bhoothathankettu in Ernakulam district of Kerala on the Idamalayar, a tributary of the Periyar River in Kerala, South India. The dam however extends east as far as Malakkappara. Completed in 1985, with a length of and a height of , the dam created a multipurpose reservoir covering in the scenic hills of the Anamalais. The reservoir storage is utilized by a Hydroelectricity, hydroelectric power station which has an Nameplate capacity, installed capacity of 75 Watt, MW with two units of 37.5 MW capacity, producing an annual energy output of 380 Kilowatt hour#Watt hour multiples and billing units, GW·h.
