Eclipse Aerospace (AML Global Company)
Eclipse Aerospace was an American aircraft manufacturer, maintenance and upgrade company. The company provided maintenance and upgrades to the Eclipse 500 fleet and was the manufacturer of the Eclipse 550. The company was formed specifically to purchase the assets of bankrupt Eclipse Aviation, for which it paid United States dollar, US$20 million in cash and US$20 million in promissory notes in August 2009. In April 2015, the company was merged with Kestrel Aircraft to form One Aviation. In February 2021, One Aviation entered a Chapter 7 liquidation process. An eclipse is an astronomical event which occurs when an astronomical object or spacecraft is temporarily obscured, by passing into the shadow of another body or by having another body pass between it and the viewer.
