Easy (Le Sserafim Song)
"Easy" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Le Sserafim for their third extended play of the same name. It was released as the EP's lead single by Source Music on February 19, 2024. The song peaked at number three on South Korea's Circle Digital Chart, as well as number one in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. It became the group's first entry on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and their first top-ten song on the ''Billboard'' Global Excl. U.S. chart. Background and release On January 22, 2024, Source Music announced that Le Sserafim would be releasing their third extended play titled ''Easy'' on February 19. On February 7, five track sampler videos were released. A day later, the track listing was released with "Easy" announced as the lead single. Le Sserafim ( ; ; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean girl group formed by Source Music and Hybe Corporation. The group consists of five members: Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha and Hong Eun-chae. Originally a sextet, Kim Ga-ram left the group on July 20, 2022, after the termination of her exclusive contract. Le Sserafim debuted on May 2, 2022, with the release of their first extended play, ''Fearless.'' Name The group's name, Le Sserafim, is an anagram of the phrase "I'm Fearless". Plugg (also spelled plug) is a subgenre of trap music, that stems from the production style of Zaytoven, later polished and expanded by beatmakers from ''Beatpluggz'' collective, mainly by MexikoDro, StoopidXool, PoloBoyShawty and Ka$h3x in the mid-2010s via online distribution on platform SoundCloud. Unlike mainline trap, which is defined by bombastic production and rattling hi-hat drum patterns, plugg is said to be dreamy, laidback, atmospheric, spacey, airy, minimal and catchy, described as having overall lush and jazzy atmosphere, ethereal multi-instrumental harmonies and melodies, sparse, disjoint, and relaxed drum programming with few hi-hats, and thick basslines. Instead of hi-hats in mainline trap, plugg drumming mainly employs beat skips, crash cymbals and punctuated accent snares on half-beats. ''M Countdown'' () is a South Korean music program broadcast by Mnet. The show features appearances by popular music artists who also perform live on stage. It is broadcast from CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday.
