Tha Eastsidaz is a hip hop duo consisting of Tray Deee and Goldie Loc put together by Snoop Dogg, who often featured on their songs. Their first appearance was on Tommy Boy Records ''Ride'' soundtrack with Crooked Eye Q on a Battlecat-produced song called "Feels So Good" in 1997. History Emergence (1997–2003) The band originates from Long Beach, California. In 1997, after Snoop Dogg left Death Row records, he formed 'The Eastsiders' with Crooked I, Techniec, and Lil' C-Style. They released one song commercially 'Feels So Good' on the soundtrack for the 1998 film Ride. The group was briefly under contract with Virgin records, however no other songs were released besides a few other songs that were leaked onto the internet in 1999. It took another two years for the revival of the ensemble and they formed again in 1999, with a new line-up made up of Goldie Loc, Tray Deee, and Snoop Dogg. ''Snoop Dogg Presents: Tha Eastsidaz'' is the eponymous debut studio album by American gangsta rap group Tha Eastsidaz. It was released on February 1, 2000, on Dogghouse Records and TVT Records. The album was recorded at Dogghouse Studio, Music Grinder & Skip Saylor Recording, Hollywood, California. Most of the songs were performed live on Hustler's rap-porn compilation ''Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle'' XXX DVD. The album was executive produced by Snoop Dogg. The rapper's younger brother Bing Worthington, Jr. is credited as an executive producer of the project. Critical reception The album overall received generally positive reviews from music critics. Tracy Lamar Davis (born April 27, 1966), better known as Big Tray Deee or simply Tray Deee, is an American rapper. He is a member of rap group Tha Eastsidaz (alongside Goldie Loc and Snoop Dogg), as well as the Diirty OGz (alongside Tha Chill, Kurupt and Weazel Loc). Career Before becoming a rapper, Davis was an active gang member. Tray Deee is a member of the Crips, Insane Crips Gang in Long Beach, California. Tray Deee made his first appearance on Snoop Doggy Dogg's Murder Was the Case soundtrack in 1994, guest starring on the track "21 Jumpstreet", Tray Dee also featured on the song Reality off the Doggfood album in 1995, followed by an appearance on Tha Doggfather in 1996.
