East Northport is a Hamlet (New York), hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located within the Huntington, New York, Town of Huntington in Suffolk County, New York, Suffolk County, on Long Island, New York (state), New York, United States. The population was 20,048 at the time of the 2020 census. Port Jefferson, also known as Port Jeff, is an incorporated village in the town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. It is located at the corner of Larkfield Road and Bellerose Avenue, north of Suffolk CR 11 (Pulaski Road) in East Northport, Suffolk County, New York. History Northport station was originally built between May and July 1873 as "New Northport" station when the Smithtown and Port Jefferson Railroad was built from Northport Junction to Port Jefferson, New York.
