Clark Tower is a 34-story high-rise office building located at 5100 Poplar Avenue in the East Memphis neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee. It was completed in 1972. The building is owned by Cicada Capital Partners and Eightfold Real Estate Capital L.P. and managed by Avison Young Management. History Clark Tower was built in the early 1970s by developer William B. Clark Sr. It was constructed to the east of the smaller White Station Tower which Clark also developed in 1967. Temple Israel is a Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 1376 East Massey Road, in Memphis, Tennessee, in the United States. It is the only Reform synagogue in Memphis, the oldest and largest Jewish congregation in Tennessee, and one of the largest Reform congregations in the U.S. It was founded in 1853 by mostly German Jews as Congregation B'nai Israel (Hebrew for "Children of Israel"). Led initially by cantors, in 1858 it hired its first rabbi, Jacob Peres, and leased its first building, which it renovated and eventually purchased. Peres was fired in 1860 because he opened a store that conducted business on Saturdays, the Jewish Sabbath. He was replaced by Simon Tuska, who moved the congregation from Orthodox to Reform practices. Oak Court Mall is an enclosed shopping mall located in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Opened in 1988, the mall features Dillard's as its anchor store. History The mall began as a freestanding, 3-story Goldsmith's, a Memphis-based department store, in 1961. In the early 1970s, Goldsmith's constructed a 3-story structure immediately to the west of the existing store. The upper two levels of this structure served as parking, while the bottom level was connected to the first floor of the existing store and served as additional retail space.
