Elsie Ivancich Dunin (born July 19, 1935) is a dance ethnologist (ethnochoreologist), choreographer, professor and author specializing in folk dance from Croatia, Macedonia, and Romani (Gypsies) in Macedonia. Her studies focus on Croatian diaspora communities and associated sword dances in both Old and New World contexts. Ron Dunin (1918 – April 18, 2004) was an American politician. In 1977, he was elected to the San Luis Obispo City Council. In 1985, he was elected as a three-term mayor of San Luis Obispo, California, retiring in 1992. He was born in Poland. From 1938 to 1945, he was a member of the Polish forces, serving in Poland, France, and the United Kingdom, receiving decorations from all three countries. Antoni Dunin (1907–1939) was a Polish nobleman (szlachta), a ''Hrabia'' (Count), and an army officer who received the Virtuti Militari award. __TOC__ Biography Dunin was born on June 5, 1907, the youngest child of Lucia (Łucja) Taczanowska (1862–1917) and her second husband Count Rodryg Dunin (1870–1928). He grew up at the Granówko estate near Poznań, the youngest of ten children. He had six older siblings by his mother's first marriage to Stanisław Niezychowski, and two full sisters and one full brother, children of his own father Rodryg.
