''Doom'' WAD is the default format of package files for the video game ''Doom (1993 video game), Doom'' and its sequel ''Doom II, Doom II: Hell on Earth'', that contain sprites, levels, and game data. WAD stands for ''Where's All the Data?'' Immediately after its release in 1993, ''Doom'' attracted a sizeable following of players who created their own mod (video gaming), mods for WAD files—packages containing new level (video gaming), levels or graphics—and played a vital part in spawning the mod-making culture which is now commonplace for first-person shooter games. Tom Hall
Tom Hall is an American game designer best known for his work with id Software on titles such as '' Doom'' and ''Commander Keen''. Career Hall attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he earned a B.S. in Computer Science. In 1987, Hall worked at Softdisk Inc., where he was both a programmer and the editor of ''Softdisk'', a software bundle delivered monthly. Along with some of his co-workers, John Carmack, John Romero and Adrian Carmack, he founded id Software. Objective-C
Objective-C is a general-purpose, object-oriented programming language that adds Smalltalk-style messaging to the C programming language. Kevin Cloud
Kevin Cloud is an American video game artist. He graduated from LSU-Shreveport in 1987 with a degree in political science. Cloud acquired his first full-time job as a computer artist at Softdisk in 1985. He was hired by id Software on March 10, 1992 to work as an assistant artist to lead artist Adrian Carmack, where he remained to work on popular computer games such as ''Wolfenstein 3D'', ''Doom'', and '' Quake'', climbing the ranks of the company.
