Districts Of Tanzania
As of 2021,there are 31 regions of Tanzania which are divided into 184 districts (Swahili: wilaya). In 2016, Songwe Region was created from the western part of Mbeya Region. The districts are each administered by a district council. Cities are separately administered by their own councils, and while administratively within a region, are not considered to be located within a district. Tanzania is administratively divided into thirty-one regions ('' mkoa''). History * In 1975, Tanzania had 25 regions. Mwanza Region
Mwanza Region (''Mkoa wa Mwanza'' in Swahili) is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions The region covers a land area of . The region is comparable in size to the combined land area of the nation state of North Macedonia. Njombe Region is bordered to the north through Lake Victoria by the Kagera Region and Mara Region, to the east by Simiyu Region, to the south by the Shinyanga Region and to the west by Geita Region. Dodoma District
Dodoma Urban District (or Dodoma Municipal Council) is one of the seven districts of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the west by Bahi District, and to the east by Chamwino District. Its administrative seat is the city of Dodoma, also the legislative capital of Tanzania. In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 446,640 people in the district, from 410,956 in 2012. Lushoto District
Lushoto is one of the eleven districts of Tanga Region in Tanzania. It is bordered to the northeast by Kenya, to the east by the Muheza District, to the northwest by the Kilimanjaro Region, west by Korogwe District and to the south by the Bumbuli District. Tabora Region
Tabora Region (''Mkoa wa Tabora'' in Swahili) is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions. The regional capital is the municipality of Tabora. The region is located in mid-western part of Tanzania. Nzega District
Nzega District is one of the seven districts of the Tabora Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by Shinyanga Region, to the south and southwest by Uyui District and to the east by Igunga District. Its administrative seat is the town of Nzega. According to the 2002 Tanzania National Census, the population of Nzega District was 417,097. According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of Nzega District was 502,252. Transport Paved Trunk road T3 from Morogoro to the Rwanda border and T8 from Tabora to Mwanza pass through the district. These roads meet in Nzega town. Shinyanga Region
