Den Goda Viljan
''The Best Intentions'' ( sv, Den goda viljan) is a 1992 Swedish drama film directed by Bille August and written by Ingmar Bergman. It is semi-autobiographical, telling the story of the complex relationship between Bergman's parents, Erik Bergman and Karin Åkerblom, who are renamed Henrik and Anna in the film but retain their true surnames. The film documents the courtship and the difficult early years of their marriage, until the point when Anna becomes pregnant with their second son, who corresponds to Ingmar himself. Samuel Fröler and Pernilla August played Henrik and Anna, respectively. Ingmar Bergman wrote the screenplay based on scattered notes and conversations with his parents in their later years. Bille August (born 9 November 1948) is a Danish director, screenwriter, and cinematographer of film and television. In a career spanning over four decades, he has been the recipient of numerous accolades, making him one of the most acclaimed contemporary Danish filmmakers. August's 1987 film ''Pelle the Conqueror'' won the Palme d'Or, Academy Award and Golden Globe Award. Björn Granath
Björn Gösta Tryggve Granath (5 April 1946 – 5 February 2017) was a Swedish actor who appeared in over 100 films and television shows. Granath was born in Örgryte, Gothenburg, Sweden. He starred in a broad range of roles from comedic to dramatic. He was active as an actor and director at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm between the years 1987–2007. Prior to his passing he was set to play Buckingham in a production of Richard III at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. It was a revival of a popular production he had appeared in during 2014. Nils Börje Ahlstedt (born 21 February 1939) is a Swedish actor who has worked extensively with the world-famous director Ingmar Bergman in films like ''Fanny and Alexander'' (1982), ''The Best Intentions'' (1992), '' Sunday's Children'' (1992) and ''Saraband'' (2003). Dag Bergman
Dag Erik Bergman (23 October 1914 – 10 December 1984) was a Swedish diplomat. Biography Bergman was the son of Erik Bergman, a parish minister, and his wife Karin Bergman, née Åkerblom, and the older brother of film director Ingmar Bergman and novelist Margareta Bergman. According to Karin Lannby, Bergman was employed by the intelligence organization C-byrån and was part of the Swedish Volunteer Corps during the Winter War in Finland and active in the National League of Sweden.
