Dawson Murschell
Dawson Murschell (born 23 November 1995) is a Canadian former professional darts player who played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events from 2017 to 2019. Career Murschell first appeared in a televised darts tournament in 2017, when he took part in the North American Championship, defeating David Cameron, before losing to eventual winner, Willard Bruguier. By qualifying for that tournament, he also qualified for the 2017 US Darts Masters in Las Vegas, where he was drawn against James Wade in the first round. After surviving six match darts from "The Machine", Murschell hit double top to win and set up a quarter-final with Gerwyn Price, which he would go on to lose 8–4. Murschell continued to make appearances in the PDC youth tour before 2018 Q school where he secured his card on the final day for 2018/19. 2018 US Darts Masters
The 2018 William Hill US Darts Masters was the second staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation. It was the second event in the 2018 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured 16 players (8 PDC representatives and 8 North American representatives) and was held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on 6–7 July 2018. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion after defeating Daryl Gurney 8–6 in the 2017 final. However, he lost 8–3 in the quarter-finals to James Wade. Michael Van Gerwen
Michael van Gerwen (; born 25 April 1989) is a Dutch professional darts player. He is currently ranked number 3 in the world, having been number 1 from 2014 to 2021. He is also a three-time PDC World Champion, having won the title in 2014, 2017 and 2019. Van Gerwen is regarded as one of the best players of all time. Van Gerwen began playing darts at the age of 13. He won the 2006 World Masters and threw a televised nine-dart finish at the 2007 Masters of Darts, becoming the youngest player to do both, aged 17. The 2019 BetVictor World Cup of Darts was the ninth edition of the PDC World Cup of Darts. It took place from 6–9 June 2019 at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany. The Dutch pairing of Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld were the reigning champions, after beating the Scottish duo Peter Wright and Gary Anderson 3–1 in the 2018 final. The World Series of Darts Finals is a non-ranking darts tournament held by the Professional Darts Corporation. It is classed as a PDC premier event. The tournament was held annually in November, but in 2020, it moved to September, and moved to October in 2021. The first three events were held in the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, Scotland, moved to the Multiversum Schwechat, Vienna, Austria for 2018, and moved to the AFAS Live, Amsterdam, Netherlands in 2019. In 2020, it returned to Austria, in the Salzburgarena, Salzburg, before its return to Amsterdam in 2021.
