David Robinson (musician)
David Robinson (born April 2, 1949) is an American rock drummer. He has performed with many rock bands, including the Rising Tide, the Modern Lovers, the Pop!, DMZ and the Cars. In 2018, Robinson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Cars. Background Born in Malden, Massachusetts, Robinson attended Woburn Memorial High School. Robinson came up with the Cars' band name and is credited with designing the album covers. After the breakup of the Cars, Robinson ran a restaurant and was an extra in several films, including ''Housesitter'' and ''The Crucible''. In 2010, Robinson reunited with the surviving original members of The Cars to record their first album in 24 years, titled '' Move Like This''. He had to relearn how to play the drums since (aside from loose jamming on the congas) he had stopped playing in 1987. Malden, Massachusetts
Malden is a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. At the time of the 2020 U.S. Census, the population was 66,263 people. History Malden, a hilly woodland area north of the Mystic River, was settled by Puritans in 1640 on land purchased in 1629 from the Pennacook tribe and a further grant in 1639 by the Squaw Sachem of Mistick and her husband, Webcowet. The area was originally called the "Mistick Side" and was a part of Charlestown. It was incorporated as a separate town in 1649 under the name "Mauldon". The name Malden was selected by Joseph Hills, an early settler and landholder, and was named after Maldon, England. The city originally included what are now the adjacent cities of Melrose (until 1850) and Everett (until 1870). The De Tomaso Mangusta is a sports car produced by Italian automobile manufacturer De Tomaso between 1967 and 1971. It was succeeded by the De Tomaso Pantera.
