David J. Ball (30 March 1950 – 1 April 2015) was an English guitar player. Career In April 1971, he left Big Bertha and joined Procol Harum after he saw an advertisement in ''Melody Maker''. He replaced Robin Trower, who had left the group to form his own band. He can be heard on the group's live album, ''Procol Harum Live with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra'', but left the group during the recording sessions for their 1973 album ''Grand Hotel (album), Grand Hotel'', in September 1972. He then formed the group Bedlam (band), Bedlam with his brother Dennis and drummer Cozy Powell, who released an album on Chrysalis Records, but the group disbanded after a brief period. He also recorded with Long John Baldry on Baldry's 1973 album ''Good to Be Alive''. He also played in the Nickey Barclay Band in London in the 1980s. Active since 1988, he has recorded a total of seven studio albums on several labels, including his platinum album, platinum certified debut ''Thinkin' Problem''. ''David Ball'' is the debut album from American country music artist David Ball. He recorded the album in 1989 for RCA Nashville. Three singles from it charted between 1988 and 1989: "Steppin' Out", "You Go, You're Gone" and "Gift of Love", which respectively reached numbers 46, 55, and 64 on the ''Billboard'' country charts. Despite these three singles, however, the album was not released by RCA until late 1994, by which point Ball had been signed to Warner Bros. Records for the release of his breakthrough album '' Thinkin' Problem''. The album was originally titled "Steppin' Out" on its original release schedule in 1989. David Stewart Ball (born January 4, 1981) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. He played college football for the UCLA Bruins, and earned unanimous All-American honors. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round of the 2004 NFL Draft, and has also played for the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans of the NFL. David Ball (born June 6, 1984) is a former American football wide receiver. He was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football for the New Hampshire Wildcats, and held the I-AA record for touchdown receptions until 2016 (broken by Cooper Kupp). David Michael Ball (born 14 December 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Wellington Phoenix in the A-League. Began his career at Manchester City, he never made a first-team appearance despite being a star player in the club's Reserve and Academy teams. He started the 2010–11 season on loan at Swindon Town, before he was signed by Peterborough United in January 2011. David Standish Ball (June 11, 1926 – April 18, 2017) was the seventh bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany in the United States from 1984 to 1998.
