The Darul Ehsan Mosque ( ms, Masjid Darul Ehsan) is the first mosque in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located in SS 15 adjacent to the Subang Parade shopping complex. It was constructed between 1983 and 1985 to serve the then newly built township of Subang Jaya. This mosque was officially opened on 13 September 1985 by Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah of Selangor in conjunction of the 25th Silver Jubilee of his reign. Subang Jaya
Subang Jaya is a city in Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia. It comprises the southern third district of Petaling. It consists of the neighbourhoods from SS12 to SS19, UEP Subang Jaya (USJ), Putra Heights, Batu Tiga as well as PJS7, PJS9 and PJS11 of Bandar Sunway, the latter of which are partially jurisdictional within Petaling Jaya under the MBPJ. Selangor
Selangor (; ), also known by its Arabic language, Arabic honorific Darul Ehsan, or "Abode of Sincerity", is one of the 13 Malaysian states. Sunni Islam
Sunni Islam () is the largest branch of Islam, followed by 85–90% of the world's Muslims. Its name comes from the word '' Sunnah'', referring to the tradition of Muhammad. Mosques are usually covered buildings, but can be any place where prayers ( sujud) are performed, including outdoor courtyards. Subang Parade
Subang Parade is a shopping mall located in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. The building has over 200 stores at a space of approximately distributed in three floors. It is located just off the Malaysian Federal Highway, and is within walking distance to Darul Ehsan Mosque, Aeon Big (formerly Carrefour), Empire Shopping Gallery and the Subang Jaya Komuter station. History Subang Parade was opened in August 1988 and was the longest mall in Southeast Asia when it first opened. The inclusion of a mall came from Abd Aziz Mohamed who worked in Sime UEP. In 2003, Subang Parade was sold to The Hektar Group before being resold into the Hektar REIT in 2006 and became one of its shopping centres alongside Kulim Central and Central Square in Kedah, Wetex Parade and Segamat Central in Johor, and Mahkota Parade in Malacca. Sultan Salahuddin
Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah Al-Haj ( Jawi: ; 8 March 1926 – 21 November 2001) was the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and eighth Sultan of Selangor. Ruang Solat Masjid Darul Ehsan (2022)
Ruang is the southernmost stratovolcano in the Sangihe Islands arc. It comprises an island 4 × 5 km wide. The summit contains a partial lava dome, and reaches some 2,379 ft in altitude. From its summit, Klabat's peak in the south, that of Siau to the north, and Ternate to the east can all be seen. Eruptions The first recorded eruption was in 1808. Dr. Adolf Meyer witnessed a large eruption in 1871. Ruang was uninhabited at the time, but the inhabitants of nearby Tagulandang had many plantations on its slopes. The eruption destroyed these in minutes and caused a tsunami that obliterated most of their large village, situated on Tagulandang, opposite Ruang. Most of the village's inhabitants drowned, and their bodies could afterwards be seen on the beach.
