Hojambaz District is a district of Lebap Province in Turkmenistan. The administrative center of the district is the town of Hojambaz. On 9 November 2022, Döwletli District was dissolved and its territories were divided, some including the town of Döwletli to this district, and the rest to Köýtendag District. Lebap Province
Lebap Region () is one of the regions of Turkmenistan. It is in the northeast of the country, bordering Afghanistan, Uzbekistan along the Amu Darya. Its administrative centre is Türkmenabat (formerly named Çärjew). The districts of Turkmenistan (, sing. ''etrap'') are territorial entities below the regions of Turkmenistan, provinces of Turkmenistan (, sing. ''Wilayah, welaýat''). They may be counties, cities, or boroughs of cities. The heads of the districts (, translated as "governor" for districts of a ''welaýat'' and "mayor" for cities or boroughs of a city) are appointed by the President of Turkmenistan (Constitution of Turkmenistan, Articles 80-81). Batash
Batash was a village in eastern Turkmenistan in Lebap Province. On 15 August 2009 it was subordinated to the Ýylangyz ''geňeş'' (village council) and made the administrative center of that council. Amu Darya
The Amu Darya ( ),() also shortened to Amu and historically known as the Oxus ( ), is a major river in Central Asia, which flows through Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan. Rising in the Pamir Mountains, north of the Hindu Kush, the Amu Darya is formed by the confluence of the Vakhsh River, Vakhsh and Panj River, Panj rivers, in the Tigrovaya Balka Nature Reserve on the border between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, and flows from there north-westwards into the South Aral Sea, southern remnants of the Aral Sea.
