Dóra María Lárusdóttir
Dóra María Lárusdóttir (born 24 July 1985) is an Icelandic former football player who predominantly played as a winger for Icelandic club Valur. Having played for Valur for a decade and been voted national Player of the Year in 2008 and 2010, Dóra María was for many years one of Iceland's leading female footballers. During her career, she won the Icelandic championship eight times and the Icelandic Cup five times. From 2003 to 2017, Dóra María was part of the Iceland women's national team and she participated at the 2009 and 2013 editions of the UEFA Women's Championship. Club career Dóra María spent the 2011 season playing for Djurgårdens IF in Sweden's Damallsvenskan. She scored twice in her 22 league appearances. Þórunn Helga Jónsdóttir (born 17 December 1984) is an Icelandic footballer who currently plays for KR as a defensive midfielder. Þórunn Helga is part of Iceland's national team and has played professional football in Brazil. Club career In 2004 Þórunn Helga played varsity soccer for Rhode Island Rams and was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year. Following her return to KR, Þórunn Helga signed for Brazilian club Santos in October 2008. There she found success in the Copa Libertadores Femenina in both 2009 and 2010. Sigurður Ragnar Eyjólfsson
Sigurður "Siggi" Ragnar Eyjólfsson (born 1 December 1973) is an Icelandic football manager and former player who played as a striker. From 2007 until 2013, he served as the head coach of the Iceland women's national team, guiding them to the 2009 and 2013 editions of the UEFA Women's Championship. Sigurður secured his place in Walsall history by scoring the third goal in the team's 3–1 win over Oldham Athletic in 1999, to secure promotion to the second tier of English football. In August 2013, Sigurður resigned as coach of Iceland's women's team after seven years. He continued in his role as head of education at the Football Association of Iceland (KSÍ) and was looking to move into coaching men's football. Laugardalsvöllur (, or more precisely 'Laugardalur Stadium') is Iceland's national stadium, national football stadium and the home venue for the Iceland national football team located in Reykjavík. It has a seating capacity of 9,500 and about 28,321 for concerts. History The idea of building a sporting venue in Laugardalur, along with some other entertainment facilities, dates back to 1871.
