Dónal Burke
Dónal Burke (born 1998) is an Irish hurler. At club level he plays with Na Fianna and at inter-county level with the Dublin senior hurling team. Burke is Dublin's all-time top championship scorer. Career Burke first played hurling to a high standard as a student at St Declan's College in the Dublin Schools' SAHC. His performances for the school resulted in his inclusion on the amalgamated Dublin North team in the Leinster Colleges SAHC. Burke later played for DCU Dóchas Éireann and was a Fitzgibbon Cup runner-up in 2018 before being named on the Rising Stars Team of the Year. Burke had a very successful underage career at club level with Na Fianna. After winning three successive Dublin MAHC titles from 2014 to 2016 he went on to win back-to-back Dublin U21AHC titles in 2017 and 2018. Leinster Minor Hurling Championship
The Leinster GAA Hurling Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland Leinster GAA Hurling Minor Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players under the age of 17 in the province of Leinster, and has been contested every year – except for a three-year absence during the Emergency – since the 1928 championship. The 2016 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 86th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. It is the primary inter-county hurling championship for boys under the age of eighteen. The championship began on 6 April 2016 and ended on 4 September 2016. Galway GAA, Galway entered the championship as the 2015 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship, defending champions, however, they were beaten by Tipperary GAA, Tipperary in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 4 September 2016 Tipperary won the championship following a 1-21 to 0-17 defeat of Limerick GAA, Limerick in the All-Ireland final. Walsh Cup (hurling)
The Walsh Cup () is an annual hurling competition staged in Ireland by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) since 1954. Contested by the top county teams from the provinces of Leinster, Ulster and Connacht, the tournament consists of a round-robin group stage, followed by a knockout stage. Formerly sponsored by Bord na Móna, it was known as the "Bord na Móna Walsh Cup" and is now the "Dioralyte Walsh Cup" since 2024. Prior to 2018, third-level colleges also competed. The 2023 Dublin Senior Hurling Championship was the 136th staging of the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Dublin County Board in 1887. The championship ran from 12 July to 29 October 2023. Kilmacud Crokes entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Na Fianna in the quarter-finals. The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system.
