Dylan Blignaut
Dylan Alexander Blignaut (born 8 April 1995) is a South African-born cricketer who plays for the Germany national team. Blignaut represented Eastern Province in under-17s before spending two summers in 2014 and 2015 playing club cricket in England for Vauxhall Mallards in the East Anglian Premier Cricket League and then for Shobrooke Park in the Devon Cricket League. After a successful season with Brighton Districts in Melbourne, Australia, Blignaut was signed by North County Cricket Club to play in the Leinster Senior League in Ireland. In August 2021, Blignaut was selected in the German squad for a Tri-Nations series. He made his T20I debut on 5 August 2021, for Germany against Norway. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier was a cricket tournament that was played as part of qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The sub regional tournaments were scheduled to take place in June and July 2021 in Finland and Belgium, with the regional final taking place in October 2021 in Spain. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Regional Qualifiers were played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). However, in May 2021, after several postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the sub-regional qualifiers were cancelled. The 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier A was a cricket tournament that took place in February 2022 in Oman, as one of two global tournaments that together form the final stage of the qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The 2021 Germany Tri-Nation Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that took place in Germany between 5 and 8 August 2021. It was originally due to be played in May 2021, but was postponed due to a new lockdown in Germany caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Leinster Senior League (cricket)
The Leinster Senior League is the provincial cricket league within the Leinster jurisdiction in Ireland, which covers the province of Leinster in the Republic of Ireland. The league was formed in 1919, the nine founding members being Phoenix, Leinster, Pembroke, Dublin University, Railway Union, Civil Service, U.C.D., County Kildare and the Royal Hibernian Military School. The league is currently divided into twenty divisions, the top two (senior) divisions are designated as the Premier League and the Championship. The Championship includes two member clubs from the Munster province: Cork County and Cork Harlequins.
