Dick Schoof
Hendrikus Wilhelmus Maria "Dick" Schoof (born 8 March 1957) is a Dutch politician and civil servant serving as the prime minister of the Netherlands of the Schoof cabinet since 2 July 2024. Schoof previously worked as secretary-general of the Ministry of Justice and Security from 2020 to 2024, as director-general of the General Intelligence and Security Service from 2018 to 2020, and as National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism from 2013 to 2018. He was director-general at the Ministry of Justice and Security from 2010 to 2013, and director-general for public order and safety at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations from 2003 to 2010. On 3 June 2025, Schoof's cabinet collapsed after the Party for Freedom pulled out of the coalition. Constitutional monarchy, also known as limited monarchy, parliamentary monarchy or democratic monarchy, is a form of monarchy in which the monarch exercises their authority in accordance with a constitution and is not alone in making decisions. A parliamentary system, or parliamentary democracy, is a form of government where the head of government (chief executive) derives their Election, democratic legitimacy from their ability to command the support ("confidence") of a majority of the legislature, to which they are held accountable. Dineke De Groot
Dineke de Groot is the president of the Supreme Court of Netherlands since November 2020 and the first woman to serve in the capacity. She became a justice of the Supreme Court under the civil and tax law since 2012. She joined the judiciary in 1990 after judiciary training and was moved to the Amsterdam District Court in 1996. The Supreme Court of the Netherlands ( or simply ''Hoge Raad''), officially the High Council of the Netherlands, is the final court of appeal in civil, criminal and tax cases in the Netherlands, including Curaçao, Sint Maarten and Aruba. Judiciary Of The Netherlands
The Judiciary of the Netherlands is the system of courts which interprets and applies the law in the Netherlands. The court system follows the traditional hierarchical pattern. It is largely based on that of France: the state rather than the individual initiates legal proceedings and Administrative justice is dealt with separately from civil or criminal justice. In the Netherlands, there is also no jury system. The judiciary is independent and judges can only be removed from office for malfeasance or incapacity.
