Dunn-St. Croix Conference
The Dunn-St.Croix Conference is a high school athletic conference with its catchment in western Wisconsin. Founded in 1930, the conference and its member schools belong to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. History 1930-1944 The Dunn-St. Croix Conference was formed in 1930 by eight small high schools in western Wisconsin: Baldwin-Woodville Area High School, Baldwin, Boyceville High School, Boyceville, Downing High School, Downing, Elk Mound High School, Elk Mound, Glenwood City High School, Glenwood City, Hammond High School (Wisconsin), Hammond, Roberts High School (Wisconsin), Roberts and Woodville High School (Wisconsin), Woodville. The conference was named after the two counties (Dunn County, Wisconsin, Dunn and St. Croix County, Wisconsin, St. Croix) that all eight original member schools were located in. The Northwest Border Conference is a former high school athletic conference comprising small public high schools along the St. Croix River in northwestern Wisconsin. The conference existed from 1940 to 1955, and all member schools were affiliated with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. History The Northwest Border Conference was founded in 1940 from a split of the ten-member Upper St. Croix Valley Conference. The 856 Conference is a former high school football conference with members in northwestern Wisconsin. Active from the 1953 through the 1956 season, the conference's members were affiliated with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association.
