The Dublin Under 21 Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club competition between the under-21 Gaelic footballers of Dublin clubs. ''The Herald'' is a nationwide mid-market tabloid newspaper headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, and published by Independent News & Media who are a subsidiary of Mediahuis. It is published Monday–Saturday. The newspaper was known as the ''Evening Herald'' until its name was changed in 2013. It is known for its vendors on the streets of Dublin. History The ''Evening Herald'' was first published in Dublin on 19 December 1891. In 1982 the paper changed its size from broadsheet to tabloid. Until November 2000, the ''Evening Herald'' was produced and pressed in Independent House on Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1. Raheny GAA (Irish language, Irish: ''CLG Rath Éanna'' ), founded 1958, is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Raheny, Dublin. History The club was established in 1958, and was at first one of two clubs in the area, though the other, St Vincent's, with grounds at The Oval in central Raheny, served a different catchment. Raheny were the 2007 Dublin Intermediate Hurling Championship after they defeated Ballyboden St Endas by 0–16 to 0–12 at O'Toole Park. Raheny last won the intermediate championship in 1970. Raheny won promotion to Dublin AFL Division 1 from Dublin AFL Division 2 in 2007 for the 2008 season. Templeogue Synge Street ( Irish: ''Teach Mealóg Sráid Singe'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Dublin, Ireland. Synge Street Past Pupils G.F.C was founded in 1945 and Templeogue G.F.C formed in 1978. The two clubs were merged in 1999. They won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship in 2008 giving them a coveted spot in the Dublin Senior Football Championship for 2009. As of 2008, the club was playing in AFL 1, AFL 5 and AFL 9. Grounds Dolphin Park is the club’s owned home ground. The club also extensively use Bushy Park for home matches. Dolphin Park originally belonged to Synge Street CBS but the club took over the ground on an 850 year lease in the early 2000s,. Naomh Olaf is a Gaelic Athletic Association club which was founded in 1981 to provide facilities for encouraging the sporting abilities of the people of the developing parish of Balally in south County Dublin, Ireland. A club house was built and players were recruited from around the area, most of them coming from the local schools of St Olaf's, Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille, St Benildus College, and St Tiernan's. In recent years more and more players are coming from the Leopardstown and Stepaside areas. Location The club is located on the Sandyford Industrial Estate in Dublin and recruits players from all around the Sandyford and Balally area. Thomas Davis ( Irish: ''CLG Tomás Dáibhís'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club with extensive grounds and a clubhouse located on the Kiltipper Road in Tallaght, County Dublin, Ireland. Founded in 1888, Thomas Davis has a long association with Tallaght from the time when it was a small rural village in the countryside. Fingallians is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Swords, County Dublin, Ireland. Founded in 1884, Fingallians are one of the oldest clubs in Dublin and they are based at Lawless Memorial Park. History The club caters for Gaelic football, hurling, Ladies football and camogie, at all age groups. They currently play football in the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship, having been relegated from the senior grade in 2011. They have never won the Dublin Senior Football Championship but won the Intermediate Championship in 1957. UCD GAA or University College Dublin Gaelic Athletic Association club is a Dublin based Gaelic games club in University College Dublin. The UCD hurling club was founded in 1900 and boasted the mottos "Ad Astra" and "Cothrom Féinne". St Brigid's GAA Club (Irish: Cumann Naomh Bríd) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Castleknock, Fingal, Ireland which serves Castleknock, Clonsilla, Blanchardstown and Corduff.
