Drøbak-Frogn IL
Drøbak-Frogn IL, DFI, is a Norwegian sports club from Drøbak. It has sections for association football, badminton, basketball, table tennis, floorball, team handball, orienteering, gymnastics, cycle sport, cycling, alpine skiing, and Nordic skiing. It can trace its roots back to the club Drøbak IF, founded in 1918. In 1946 it was merged to form Drøbak-Frogn IL, together with Drøbak BK (founded 1920) and Frogn IL (founded 1934). Football The men's football team currently plays in the 3. divisjon, the fourth tier of Norwegian football. Seiersten stadion is their home field. Their team colors are red and white. Seiersten Stadion
Olav Torstein Seiersten (22 February 1931 – 15 October 2023) was a Norwegian speed skater. Seiersten represented Norway in two Winter Olympics, in World Allround Speed Skating Championships for Men, and in European championships. His achievements include a fourth place on 5,000 metres at the 1960 Winter Olympics, and a victory on 10,000 metres at the 1956 world championships. Personal life Olav Torstein Seiersten was born in Brandbu in the municipality of Gran, Norway, Gran on 22 February 1931. Outside sports, he was assigned with the Norwegian State Railways (1883–1996), Norwegian State Railways. Seiersten died in Nittedal on 15 October 2023, at the age of 92. Eliteserien () is a professional association football league in Norway and the highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Seasons run from March to November with each team playing 30 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Sunday evenings. Prince Efe Ehiorobo (born 12 April 1983 in Benin City) is a Nigerian football player who is currently playing for Lärje-Angereds IF. Career Ehiorobo started his career in Invisible-Leopards FC Warri before joining DSC Aladja. He then joined NPA of Warri where he had much success and was selected Pepsi Player of the Month. Bent André Skammelsrud (born 18 May 1966) is a Norwegian former professional footballer, most known as an important midfielder for Rosenborg BK. He has eleven consecutive championships in the Norwegian Premier League, and three times he won the Norwegian Football Cup. Biography Skammelsrud was born in Sarpsborg. The 1997 1. divisjon, Norway's second-tier football league, began play on 20 April 1997 and ended on 12 October 1997. The league was contested by 14 teams, and the top two teams won promotion to Tippeligaen, while the third placed played a promotion-playoff against the 12th-placed team in Tippeligaen to win promotion.
