Driver Drive Faster
Driver Drive Faster are a rock/indie band from Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, England. After the demise of their previous band, Polytechnic, in the winter of 2008, Dylan, Peet and Yuri locked themselves away in a makeshift studio above a tanning salon in Chorlton, and began writing and recording new material. They built up a significant back catalogue of songs, and in the Spring of 2009 recruited the drumming talents of German born David and started gigging around Manchester and London. Since then they have supported acts such as The Aliens, Japandroids, Erland and The Carnival, The Drums and ex-Pavement's Marble Valley. They have received strong support from BBC radio 6 DJs Marc Riley and Steve Lamacq, as well as Radio 2's Radcliffe & Maconie show. In February 2010, DDF released their debut single 'They May Talk' through Lex Records, along with remixes of the song by The Young Knives and Manchester's May68. Chorlton-cum-Hardy
Chorlton-cum-Hardy is a suburban area of Manchester, England, southwest of the Manchester city centre, city centre. Chorlton (ward), Chorlton ward had a population of 14,138 at the United Kingdom Census 2011, 2011 census, and Chorlton Park (ward), Chorlton Park 15,147. Pariah (band)
Pariah was an American hard rock band, formed in San Antonio, Texas, United States, while they knew each other in high school. The group consisted of Shandon Sahm son of Doug Sahm, brothers Kyle and Sims Ellison, Jared Tuten and David Derrick. Their influence was heavy metal and they were fans of Guns N' Roses. History Their first album ''Rattle Your Skull'' was released in 1989 independently. They then were signed to Sick Kid Productions where their album ''Make Believe'' was recorded and released in 1992. In 1991 they signed with Geffen Records, recording their album, ''To Mock A Killingbird'', which was released in 1993. After Geffen dropped them out of their contract, Sims Ellison fell into a depression. He committed suicide on June 6, 1995, at the age of 28 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Young Knives
Young Knives are an English indie rock band from Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, currently based in Wantage, Oxfordshire. The group consists of brothers Henry Dartnall and Thomas Bonsu-Dartnall (the latter known professionally as "The House of Lords"). Oliver Askew was the band's drummer from 1998 until 2015. The band were originally named Simple Pastoral Existence (which featured guitarist Alex Gasson), but this name only lasted until they split for a few years from 1997 to 1999, at which time they renamed themselves Ponyclub. Steve Lamacq
Stephen Paul Lamacq (born 16 October 1964), sometimes known by his nickname Lammo (given to him by John Peel), is an English disc jockey, currently working with BBC Radio 6 Music. Lamacq was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2025 New Year Honours for services to broadcasting and to music venues. Early life Lamacq was born in Bournemouth, and first lived in Ferndown. He and his family later moved to the Essex village of Colne Engaine and attended The Ramsey Academy from 1976, which had been formed the previous year from two grammar schools. Marc Riley (born 10 July 1961) is an English radio DJ, alternative rock critic, musician, and former music businessman. He currently presents on BBC Radio 6 Music. The Drums
The Drums is an American indie pop band/project from New York City. It was initially formed by Jonathan Pierce and Jacob Graham as Goat Explosion, and later added Adam Kessler and Connor Hanwick. Graham exited the band in 2016. Since then, the band has operated as a solo project of sole remaining member Jonathan Pierce. Erland & The Carnival were a British progressive folk rock band, formed in London, by Orcadian folk guitarist and singer Gawain Erland Cooper, multi-instrumentalist Simon Tong, and drummer/engineer David Nock.
