Dragutin Mitić
Dragutin Mitić ( sh-Cyrl, Драгутин Митић, ; 16 September 1917 – 27 August 1986) was a tennis player from Yugoslavia. He defected to the West in 1952 and afterwards lived in the United States. Early life and family Dragutin Mitić was born in Zagreb on 16 September 1917. He was nicknamed ''Dragec''. His first tennis performance was an instant success. In 1932 he played at the national junior championships and won. At eighteen, he competed in Bled and upset Czechoslovak Josef Caska, and brought home the mixed doubles with Hella Kovač. He made his Davis Cup debut in 1936. That same year he traveled to South Africa and, although he didn't return with any major result, gained international experience. Yugoslavia Davis Cup Team
The Yugoslavia men's national tennis team competed from 1927 to 2003 and represented the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (up to 1929 known as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes) from 1927 to 1939, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (up to 1963 the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia) from 1946 to 1992, and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 1995 to 2003. Ignacy Tłoczyński
Ignacy Tłoczyński (; 14 July 1911 – 25 December 2000) was a Polish tennis player, coach and World War II veteran. Tłoczyński participated in 10 Davis Cup ties for Poland Davis Cup team, Poland from 1930–1939, posting a 23–8 record in singles and a 3–9 record in doubles. He won two national titles in singles, seven in doubles and was a six-time International Polish Championship winner. He was ranked number one in Poland in 1934. In international level he reached the third round at Wimbledon on four occasions. Christian Boussus
Christian Boussus (5 March 1908 – 12 August 2003) was a left-handed French tennis player who found success in the 1920s and 1930s. Tennis career He started playing amateur tennis in the late 1920s by entering one of his first tournaments at the age of 17 in the 1926 edition of The French Covered Courts tournament in doubles, which he won by teaming up with French veteran René Lacoste. He was the runner-up at the Pacific South-west Championship in 1928(lost to fellow Frenchman Henri Cochet) although he won the mixed title trophy alongside American Anna Harper. The same year he won his first outdoor doubles title in Düsseldorf pairing Davis Cup teammate Jean Borotra. He won his first singles championships in 1929. Roderich Ferdinand Ottomar Menzel (; 13 April 1907 – 17 October 1987) was a Czech-German amateur tennis player and, after his active career, a writer. Birth Roderich Menzel was born in Reichenberg in Bohemia (today Liberec in the Czech Republic). He lived with his parents and two brothers in a three-storey house in Römheldstraße 7 (Tatranská street these days). His father Ernst, who was born in the family of glassworks manager in the mountain village Wilhelmshöhe, rose from a correspondent to the position of a partner of cable manufacturer Felten & Guilleaume's North Bohemia office. Hella Kovač
Hella Strecker born Hella Kovac (10 November 1911 – 1999) was a Yugoslav then later Austrian tennis player from Vienna active during the 1930s to 1950s. She was a losing finalist in the women's doubles at the 1939 French Championships partnering Alice Florian. At the Wimbledon Championships which she played six times, she reached the third round of the singles events in 1939 and 1953. Career Hella Kovac was born on 10 November 1911 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary. During the 1930s until 1940 she represented Yugoslavia on the international tennis circuit.
