__NOTOC__ Douglas-Daly is a locality in the Northern Territory of Australia located about south of the territory capital of Darwin City, Northern Territory, Darwin. Douglas-Daly consists of land associated with the catchments of the Daly River (Northern Territory), Daly and the Douglas River (Northern Territory), Douglas Rivers and which is located between the towns of Adelaide River, Northern Territory, Adelaide River and Pine Creek, Northern Territory, Pine Creek and to the respective south and west of these towns. The Daly River forms part of the locality's boundary on its south-western side while the alignment of the Adelaide-Darwin Railway coincides in places with its north-eastern boundary. It is named after the Daly and Douglas Rivers. The term Douglas-Daly is reported by the official source as being widely used locally. Its boundaries and name were gazetted on 4 April 2007. Fleming, Northern Territory
__NOTOC__ Fleming is a town and locality in the Northern Territory of Australia located about south of the territory capital of Darwin. The locality is named after the town which was named after the brothers, Jim and Mike Fleming, who are considered to be the first pastoralists in this part of the Northern Territory. Part of the town was established on land partly located in the former Oolloo Station pastoral lease established by Jim Fleming in 1907. The town was gazetted on 20 March 1996 and the locality was gazetted on 4 April 2007. For the 2016 Australian census which was conducted in August 2016, the population of the locality of Fleming (if any) was counted with that in the surrounding locality of Douglas-Daly to find that 238 people were living within the two localities. Adelaide River is a small but historically significant town located at the crossing of the Stuart Highway over the Adelaide River in the Northern Territory of Australia. Grove Hill is a ghost town in the Northern Territory of Australia. Once a centre for mining operations, today only a hotel with a few outbuildings survive. Grove Hill is located within the Victoria Daly Region and for administrative purposes is considered to be part of the locality of Burrundie. Fenton Airfield was a World War II military airfield in the Northern Territory of Australia located at Tipperary Station in what is now the locality of Douglas-Daly and named after flight lieutenant Clyde Fenton. Abandoned since 1945, the site is one of three surviving World War II-era heavy bomber airfields in the Katherine–Darwin region. The airfield is open to the public, and the main runway, taxiways and hardstands are accessible. Remnants of the control tower remain and aircraft wreckage can be found in the area.
