Doug Palmer
Douglas Leslie Palmer (23 June 1930 – 23 November 1992) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Geelong in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the early 1950s. Palmer could play as both a centreman and half back flanker. He was a midfielder in Geelong's 1952 VFL premiership side and also played in their losing 1953 VFL Grand Final team. Palmer was a good wet weather player. Palmer was captain / coach of Myrtleford in 1955 and 1956. Eaglehawk Football Club
The Eaglehawk Football Netball Club is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the town of Eaglehawk, Victoria and have competed in every BFL season since the league began in 1880, with the exception of 1904. Eaglehawk teams currently compete in the Bendigo Football Netball League (BFNL). Eaglehawk drew level with Sandhurst in 2007 when they won their 26th premiership. Queen Elizabeth Oval
Queen Elizabeth Oval is a sports stadium located in Bendigo, Australia primarily used for Australian rules football and cricket. History Cricket The Oval, originally known as Upper Reserve, hosted touring cricket teams as early as 1897. It was renamed in April 1954 in honour of Queen Elizabeth's visit to Bendigo earlier that year. The ground hosted two World Series Cricket exhibition matches in 1977 and 1979. During the 1990s one List A and two first-class matches were held at the ground. It also hosted one Women's Test cricket in 1985 between Australia and England. The Ballarat Football League (BFL) is an Australian rules football competition that operates in the Ballarat region of Victoria (state), Victoria. The competition formed in 1893 as the Ballarat Football Association and was renamed Ballarat Football League in 1908 and was briefly known as the Ballarat-Wimmera Football League between 1934 and 1936. The Ovens and Murray Football Netball League (OMFNL or O&MFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball competition containing ten clubs based in north-eastern Victoria, Australia, Victoria, the southern Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia, New South Wales and the Ovens and Murray area. The Myrtleford Alpine Saints Football Netball Club, is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the town of Myrtleford, in north east Victoria (Australia), Victoria on the Ovens River. The football and netball squads play in the Ovens & Murray Football League (OMFL). Myrtleford was initiated into the Ovens District Football Association in 1895, which later became the Bright Shire Football Association in 1900. The club joined the OMFL in 1950.
