Poiana Stampei () is a commune located in Suceava County, in the historical region of Bukovina, northeastern Romania. It is composed of seven villages: Căsoi, Dornișoara, Pilugani, Poiana Stampei, Prăleni, Tătaru, and Teșna. The commune is situated in the Bukovinian Subcarpathians, at an altitude of , on the banks of the river Dorna and its left tributary, the Dornișoara. It is located at the southeastern extremity of Suceava County, on the old border between Moldavia and Transylvania, on the southern ridges of the historical region of Bukovina. The city of Vatra Dornei is to the east, while the county seat, Suceava, is to the northeast. Bistrița-Năsăud () is a county (județ) of Romania, in Transylvania, with its capital city at Bistrița.
