Don Turner is a boxing trainer. Biography He is well known for his work with Evander Holyfield during the late 1990s, specifically during Holyfield's two wins over Mike Tyson. He was also at Holyfield's side when he fought Lennox Lewis. Turner worked with Heavyweight contender Michael Grant and most recently with rising prospect John Duddy. Michael Grant (boxer)
Michael Anthony Grant (born August 4, 1972) is an American professional boxer and world heavyweight title challenger. Grant’s pinnacle of his boxing career came in 2000 when he unsuccessfully challenged Lennox Lewis for the IBF, WBC and IBO heavyweight titles. He came in undefeated but was knocked out in two rounds by the eventual champion. He also held fringe titles in the IBC and WBF during this period. Early life Before his boxing career, he blossomed into a three-sport star at Chicago's Harper High School. John Duddy
John Francis Duddy (born 19 June 1979) is an Irish actor and former professional boxer who fought from 2003 to 2010. He challenged once for the vacant WBC Silver middleweight title, losing in his final fight to Julio César Chávez Jr. Amateur career As an amateur Duddy fought 130 times, winning 100 of his bouts. Duddy won his first Irish national title at the age of 15 as a Light Middleweight in the Junior Division, later winning Irish titles at the Intermediate and Elite Levels. A cutman is a person responsible for preventing and treating physical damage to a fighter during the breaks between rounds of a Contact sport#Full-contact, full contact match such as a boxing, kickboxing or a mixed martial arts bout. Cutmen typically handle hematoma, swelling, nosebleeds and lacerations. In addition to degrading a fighter's performance, the rules of combat sports stipulate that these injuries can be a cause for premature match stoppage, counting as a loss to the injured fighter.
