Dolans Bay, New South Wales
Dolans Bay is a bayside suburb in Southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, that is located south of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Sutherland Shire. Dolans Bay is on the north shore of the Port Hacking estuary. The suburb is named after the small cove on the edge of Burraneer Bay. Houses overlook the bay and some line the water's edge together with boatsheds. Boats are moored in the bay, which provides protection from the southerly wind. Burraneer Bay features a private marina and slipway with full repair facilities. The suburb of Dolans Bay is surrounded by the suburbs of Caringbah South, Lilli Pilli and Port Hacking. Scott John Morrison (born 13 May 1968) is an Australian former politician who served as the 30th prime minister of Australia from 2018 to 2022. Westfield Miranda (also known as Miranda Fair) is a large shopping centre in the suburb of Miranda in Sutherland Shire of Sydney. History Miranda Fair was officially opened on 16 March 1964 by the Premier of New South Wales, Bob Heffron, in front of 1,600 guests. A highlight of the opening ceremony was the arrival of a helicopter to deliver newspapers. A special fireworks display was put on for the locals on that evening. The 3.25 million pound centre was designed by Tomkins, Shaw & Evans Architects and was built on the former site of Fowler's brick pit. Miranda Fair was developed by Myer and Farmers and was the largest fully enclosed shopping centre in NSW. The centre held that title until Roselands opened a year later. U-Go Mobility is a bus company in Sydney, Australia, that operates services in Region 10, which serves South Western Sydney, and Sutherland Shire. It is a 50:50 joint venture between UGL and Go-Ahead Group. History On 22 December 2022, U-Go Mobility was awarded a seven-year, $500 million contract to operate bus services region 10 in the Canterbury-Bankstown, Georges River and Sutherland Shire regions. Lyons House is a heritage-listed private residence at 733 Port Hacking Road, Dolans Bay, New South Wales, Australia. The Burraneer Bay is a bay on the lower estuarine Hacking River of Port Hacking in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Location and features With a catchment that drains many of the most southern suburbs of the Sutherland Shire, Burraneer Bay is located near where the Hacking River and Port Hacking estuary meet Gunnamatta Bay and empty into Bate Bay. Port Hacking Estuary ( Aboriginal Tharawal language: ''Deeban''), an open youthful tide dominated, drowned valley estuary, is located in southern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia approximately south of Sydney central business district.
