''Doctor Who'', also referred to as ''Doctor Who: The Movie'' or as ''Doctor Who: The Television Movie'' or ''Dr Who'' in America is a 1996 television film continuing the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Developed as a co-production (media), co-production between Universal Pictures, Universal Studios and BBC Worldwide, it premiered on 12 May 1996 on CITV-TV, CITV in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, 15 days before its first showing in the United Kingdom on BBC One and two days before being broadcast in the United States on Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox. It was theatrically released in some countries. John Debney
John Cardon Debney (born August 18, 1956) is an American composer and conductor of film, television, and video game scores. His work encompasses a variety of mediums and genres, including comedy, horror, science fiction, thriller, fantasy and action-adventure. He is a long-time collaborator of The Walt Disney Company, having written music for their films, television series, and theme parks. CITV-DT (channel 13) is a television station in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, part of the Global Television Network. The station is owned and operated by network parent Corus Entertainment, and maintains studios on Allard Way Northwest in the Pleasantview neighbourhood of Edmonton.
