Doctor Foster (TV Series)
''Doctor Foster'' is a British psychological thriller television series that debuted on BBC One on 9 September 2015. Created and written by Mike Bartlett (playwright), Mike Bartlett, the series is about Gemma Foster (Suranne Jones), a doctor who suspects her husband Simon (Bertie Carvel) is having an affair. After she follows several lines of enquiry, she slowly begins to lose her sanity as her life unravels from what secrets she finds. The storyline was inspired by the ancient Greek myth of Medea, a wronged wife who Filicide, kills her children and poisons her husband's new bride. Internationally, the series was brought to many countries by different networks (see #Broadcast, Broadcast). The second series of the show started on 5 September 2017 and concluded on 3 October 2017. Medea
In Greek mythology, Medea (; ; ) is the daughter of Aeëtes, King Aeëtes of Colchis. Martha Howe-Douglas (born 19 September 1980) is an English actress and writer. She is known as a member of the Them There collective with which she wrote and starred in productions including '' Horrible Histories'', '' Yonderland'', and '' Ghosts''. In Greek mythology, Medus () or Medeus/Medeius ( or ) was an Athenian prince as the son of King Aegeus, thus a half-brother of the hero Theseus. Navin Chowdhry (born 22nd November 1971 ) is an English actor. He is best known for his roles in ''Teachers'' and '' A Touch of Cloth'', and his role as Nish Panesar in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' (2022–2025). Early life Chowdhry is of Indian origin. In Greek mythology, Creusa (; Ancient Greek: Κρέουσα ''Kreousa'' "princess" ) or Glauce (; Γλαυκή "blue-gray"), Latin Glauca, was a princess of Corinth as the daughter of King Creon.
