Djønno
Djønno is a small village on the Oksen Peninsula in the municipality of Ullensvang in Norway's Hardanger district, in Vestland county. Geography Djønno lies near the sea on the west side of the Eid Fjord, about south of the ferry station in Bruravik. The nearest neighboring village is Kaland, which lies further into the fjord. Djønno is known for its fruit orchards. The village first received a road connection in 1981, when it was connected by Norwegian County Road 302 to the northeast. Before that, passengers and cargo were transported to and from the village by boat. Norwegian County Road 302
Norwegian County Road 5378 () is a county road in the municipalities of Ulvik and Ullensvang in Vestland county, Norway. The road branches off from Norwegian County Road 572 at Vallaviki and continues along the west side of the Eid Fjord before terminating in Djønno. Along the way, it passes through the Djønno Tunnel. It is also named ''Tjoflotvegen'' 'Tjoflot Road' along its course in Ulvik. At the end of the county road in Djønno, a smaller unnamed road continues along the coast to Tjoflot. Jorunn Hanto-Haugse
Jorunn Hanto-Haugse is a Norwegian orchardist, comic strip author, and illustrator. Hanto-Haugse grew up on the Utitun farm in Djønno. She received a bachelor's degree in art from the University of Central England in Birmingham and she also studied premodern visual rhetoric at the University of Bergen. As an artist, she has had independent exhibitions in Bergen and Vadsø, and she has also exhibited in New York, Liverpool, and Seoul. She became well known for her comic strips ''Reveland'', ''Reform 94'', and ''Skulen'', which are all written in Nynorsk. Her comic strips are regularly published in ''Norsk Barneblad'', the street newspaper ''Megafon'', and ''Hordaland''. They also previously regularly appeared in the newspaper ''EON'' and in the magazine ''Utdanning''. Rannveig Djønne
Rannveig Djønne (born March 3, 1974) is a Norwegian folk musician from Djønno in the municipality of Ullensvang, Norway. Djønne plays diatonic button accordion and is a graduate of the Ole Bull Academy in Voss. She released her first CD in December 2008. The CD is called ''Spelferd heim – slåtter frå Hardanger og Voss på durspel'' (Spelferd Heim: Tunes from Hardanger and Voss for Button Accordion). Other performers with her on the CD are Inger Elisabeth Aarvik, Arngunn Timenes Bell, Anders Hall, Kim André Rysstad, Lajla Renate Buer Storli, and Tuva Syvertsen. They perform music based on melodies by Nils Tjoflot and others, as well as music that Djønne wrote herself. In 2023 she performed live in Lofthus, Hardanger with the Norwegian prog-rock band Panzerpappa. Eid Fjord
The Eid Fjord () is the innermost part of the Hardangerfjord, Hardanger Fjord in Norway. It extends eastwards from the Utne Fjord and Sørfjorden (Hardanger), Sørfjorden. The Eid Fjord lies in the municipalities of Ullensvang, Ulvik, and Eidfjord in Vestland county. The inner part of the ford is called the Simadal Fjord (). The villages of Ringøy and Bjotveit lie on the south side of the fjord, and Djønno lies on the north side. Further into the fjord, village on the north side include Vangsbygdi and, to the east, Bruravik. From Bruravik there was a Bruravik–Brimnes Ferry, ferry connection to Brimnes on the south side of the fjord. Kinsarvik is a village in the municipality of Ullensvang in Vestland county, Norway.
