División de Plata de Balonmano, is the second level handball league in Spain. It was founded in 1994 and is managed by RFEBM. From 1994 until 2008–09 season, this competition was known as División de Honor B. From 2009–10 season onwards, it's officially known as División de Plata. Alcobendas () is a municipality of Spain located in the Community of Madrid. It forms an urban continuum with the neighbouring municipality of San Sebastián de los Reyes. Irun (, ) is a town of the Bidasoaldea region in the province of Gipuzkoa in the Basque Autonomous Community, Spain. CD Bidasoa Irun is a team of handball based in Irún, Spain. It plays in Liga ASOBAL. History The Basque club was founded in 1962. Five years after its foundation, CD Bidasoa managed to get promoted to the second division and after the 1969/1970 season it was promoted to the first division. Eight years was enough to reach the highest class. The team achieved its main successes with the support of the Elgorriaga chocolate company. On June 30, 2014, there was a vacancy in the second division after :es:Club Balonmano Pozoblanco, Pozoblanco Handball Club withdrew. Atlético Valladolid could start in their place in the second division. In the first season of its history (2014-2015), the Valladolid club was coached by Nacho González, but it lost to the Balonmano Sinfín team in the finals of the playoffs, so it did not reach the Liga ASOBAL.
