División De Honor B De Rugby
División de Honor B is the second level of Spanish league competition for rugby union clubs. The league began in 1998 and consists of three groups (North, East and South) of 8 or 9 teams each. The two top teams of each group and two best 3rd-placed teams qualify for promotion playoff. Competition Format The season takes place between October and April. There are three groups of 12 teams, with every team playing each other home and away for a total of 22 matches. Points are awarded according to the following: *4 points for a win *2 points for a draw *1 bonus point is awarded to a team scoring 4 tries or more in a match *1 bonus point is awarded to a team that loses a match by 7 points or fewer Promotion playoffs For the promotion playoff, the teams are seeded by total points. Rugby Club Valencia (also known as Valencia Rugby) is a Spanish rugby team. The club competes in Group East of División de Honor B. History The club was established in May 1966 by a group of young players who wanted to see a team from the city of Valencia playing in the national leagues. There were problems securing a field, and the club played on a football field in Picanya and sometimes on the river banks by the teachers' training college in the early years. They acquired their own ground, the Campo de La Pechina (Field of The Pendant), the very first rugby ground in the city. Club Deportivo Arquitectura is a Spanish rugby union club. Established in 1931, the team currently competes at División de Honor B de Rugby, División de Honor B, the second division of Rugby union in Spain, Spanish rugby. Arquitectura is also the most successful club with a total of 17 titles won to date. History In 1931, fifteen students of the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid decided to form the first rugby union team of the School.
