Dirty Harry (musician)
Victoria Harrison (born 10 May 1982) is a British rock singer and DJ who performs under the stage name Amazonica (and formerly Harry and Dirty Harry). Biography Early life Harry spent her early life living in Singapore and New York City as well as in the United Kingdom, and was raised under strict conservative family values – a vicar grandfather and mother in charge of a local Sunday school. Harry connected with singers such as Patti Smith and Janis Joplin – influences in both her youth and musical stylings. As she grew up, Harry became involved in the London music and social scene. Alternative Rock
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Alternative rock acts achieved mainstream success in the 1990s with the likes of the grunge, shoegaze, and Britpop subgenres in the United States and United Kingdom, respectively. DJ Hyper (born 23 February 1977) is a British DJ, producer and remixer, known for his use of live bass, guitars and uncompromising vocals. He has done remixes for artists such as BT and Paul Van Dyk and his music has been featured on TV and in trailers and video games. Hyper has releases on labels such as Distinct'ive Breaks Records, Bedrock Records, and Positiva Recordings. He has also performed as a band featuring The Prodigy's members Leeroy Thornhill and Jim Davies along with co-producer John Ross on drums. ''Faking It'' is a television programme originating on Channel 4 which has spawned various international remakes, including a United States version which began in 2003 on the TLC network. Devised by Stephen Lambert of RDF Media, the programme's original concept was "a modern-day '' Pygmalion''", referring to the George Bernard Shaw play in which flower girl Eliza Doolittle is trained to appear like an aristocrat. Heaven 17 are an English new wave and synth-pop band that formed in Sheffield in 1980.
