Die! Die! Die!
Die! Die! Die! (sometimes styled Die!Die!Die!) is a three-piece New Zealand noise pop/Punk rock, punk/post-punk band. Formed in late 2003, the band has released seven albums, all backed with extensive international touring. A number of different bass guitarists have played alongside the permanent members, Andrew Wilson (guitar, vocals) and Michael Prain (drums). Lachlan Anderson's second spell with the band began in 2018. History The Drummer Smells Nice, Carriage H and Rawer (1999–2004) While at Logan Park High School in Dunedin, Wilson and Prain were three-time Smokefreerockquest, Pepsismokefree Rockquest entrants – in 1999 with The Drummer Smells Nice, then twice with Carriage H. They won the national competition in 2001. Slint
Slint was an American Rock music, rock band from Louisville, Kentucky, Louisville, Kentucky, formed in 1986 after the dissolution of two local bands, Squirrel Bait and Maurice. It initially consisted of guitarist-vocalist Brian McMahan, guitarist David Pajo, drummer-vocalist Britt Walford and bassist Ethan Buckler. Though little known during their original run, they gained a cult following and acclaim as one of the pioneers of post-rock and math rock. Slint's debut album, ''Tweez,'' was recorded by Steve Albini and released in 1989 on their record label, Jennifer Hartman Records and Tapes. The Echo (venue)
The Echo is an American music venue and nightclub, located in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. For 14 years, it hosted Funky Sole, an all-vinyl 1960s funk-and-soul dance party. The venue is also known for their punk rock shows. History The Echo opened in 2001. Prior to that, the space was used as a Latin-themed restaurant/nightclub. The front of the building still sports the original name "Nayarit." Wolfmother
Wolfmother is an Australian hard rock band from Sydney. Formed in 2004, the group is centred around vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale, who is the only constant member of the line-up. The band has been through many personnel changes since their formation. The original – and most commercially successful – line-up included bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross (musician), Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett. Ross and Heskett left Wolfmother after four years in 2008. Stockdale, Ross and Heskett formed Wolfmother in 2004 after several years of informal jamming. South by Southwest (SXSW) is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and Convention (meeting), conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas. It began in 1987 and has continued growing in both scope and size every year. In 2017, the conference lasted for 10 days with the interactive track lasting for five days, music for seven days, and film for nine days.
