Nandini Satpathy
Nandini Satpathy (9 June 1931 – 4 August 2006) was an Indian politician and author. She was the Chief Minister of Odisha from June 1972 to December 1976. Early life Nandini Satpathy nee Panigrahi was born on 9 June 1931 to Kalindi Charan Panigrahi and Ratnamani Panigrahi in a Brahmin Family of Coastal Puri but grew up in Pithapur, Cuttack, India. Satpathy's uncle Bhagavati Charan Panigrahi founded the Odisha branch of the Communist Party of India. He was a close associate of Netaji SC Bose. Tathagata Satpathy
Tathagata Satpathy (born 1 April 1956) was a member of the 12th, 14th, 15th and 16th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Dhenkanal constituency of Odisha, and was re-elected for the fourth time in 2014. He was a member of the Biju Janata Dal ( BJD) political party, and the party's chief whip in the Lok Sabha. He took voluntary retirement from politics in March 2019. He is not an active politician ever since. Life and work Tathagata Satpathy is the younger son of former Odisha Chief Minister Nandini Satpathy and Devendra Satpathy. Gati Krushna Misra was the seventh Chief Justice of Orissa High Court, from 1 May 1969 to 30 October 1975. On 1 May 1969, he was elevated to the post of Chief Justice of Orissa High Court and worked as such for more than six years. Professional life Born in the village of Gailo, in Dhenkanal district, he completed his primary education in the native village. In 1937, he got a Post Graduate Degree in Economics from Patna University and pursued his law course in Patna. He returned to Odisha and pursued his Law profession in 1940 in Cuttack. He was appointed Munsif in the Orissa Judiciary in 1940. He was promoted to the cadre of Sub Judge and served at various places of Odisha. Baishnab Charan Patnaik (1914-2013) was an Indian politician. He was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India. Biography He was born on April 29, 1914. He was expelled from high school when he joined the civil disobedience movement in 1931. He was one of the vanguards fighting for people's cause and launching movements in the princely states of Odisha, (especially in the former state of Dhenkanal).
