Dhanauji
Dhanauji is a Rural Municipality (Nepal), rural municipality in Dhanusha District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal established in 2073. As of 2011 Nepal census, it has a population of 22,395. It was formed by joining Jhojhi Kataiya, Lakhauri, Bahuarba and former Dhanuji Village development committees. The total area of Nagarain municipality is 22 km2. Dhanusha District
Dhanusha District, (; ), a part of Madhesh Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. It is situated in the Outer Terai. The district, with Janakpurdham as its district headquarter, covers an area of and has a population (2021) of 8,38,084. During the elections in April 2008, the district was divided into seven constituencies. It is also the home district of the first president of Nepal, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, who contested and won the elections from constituency 5. Ram Saroj Yadav is a Nepalese politician and member of Provincial Assembly. Yadav is also the parliamentary party leader for the Nepali Congress in the Provincial Assembly and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development of Madhesh Province. He is also a ''expeditionary'' of ''Maithili language'' and had come in light after demanding it as official language of Madhesh Province. The Digital Himalaya project was established in December 2000 by Mark Turin, Alan Macfarlane, Sara Shneiderman, and Sarah Harrison. The project's principal goal is to collect and preserve historical multimedia materials relating to the Himalaya, such as photographs, recordings, and journals, and make those resources available over the internet and offline, on external storage media. Rural Municipality (Nepal)
A gaunpalika ( ne, गाउँपालिका, lit=rural municipality, translit=Gāum̐pālikā ) is an administrative division in Nepal. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development dissolved the existing village development committees and announced the establishment of this new local body. It is a sub-unit of a district. There are currently 460 rural municipalities. History The village development committee was the previous governing body of villages in Nepal. They were replaced on 10 May 2017 by the rural municipalities which were formed by combining different VDCs. The decision was taken by the cabinet of Nepal after modifications in the report proposed by the Local Level Restructuring Commission.
