Dexter–Huron Metropark is a park on the Huron River in the Huron-Clinton system of metro parks. The park has three picnic areas, a children's play area, a softball diamond, fishing, and canoe launching. A Metropark daily or annual vehicle permit is required for entry. Huron–Clinton Metroparks
The Huron–Clinton Metroparks system is a regional park system in Metro Detroit in the United States, U.S. state of Michigan. The park system includes 13 parks totaling more than arranged along the Huron River (Michigan), Huron River and Clinton River forming a partial ring around the metro area. Plans are in development to finish the ring by building hike/bike trails to connect all the parks as a green belt. Hudson Mills Metropark is a park in the Huron-Clinton system of metro parks in Michigan, USA. It is located on North Territorial Road at the crossing of the Huron River, northwest of Ann Arbor. Delhi Metropark
Delhi Metropark is a park in the Huron-Clinton system of metro parks. It is an park on the Huron River located five miles (8 km) northwest of Ann Arbor. It has picnic areas, two picnic shelters, swings and slides, river fishing, canoe rental and softball diamonds. A children's playground features an adventure playship, ride-on toys and swings. A Metropark daily or annual vehicle permit is required for entry to the park. The park will eventually be linked to Dexter-Huron Metropark and Hudson Mills Metropark via the Border-to-Border Trail. History In 1835, there was a sawmill located on the Huron River at this site. That year, Norman Gooddale purchased the mill for $50 and added a flour mill to the site. Border-to-Border Trail
The Border-to-Border (B2B) Trail is a partially constructed non-motorized trail system in Washtenaw County, Michigan. The system is planned to cover approximately across Washtenaw County, along the Huron River. Planning for the B2B began in 1984, as the Huron River Greenway, a project headed by Washtenaw County. Since its inception, and its renaming to the Border-to-Border trail in the 1990s, the project has expanded its scope and incorporated additional funding from public and private sources. When completed, the Border-to-Border Trail system will link Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, Dexter, and Chelsea with off-street, non-motorized pathways for walking, bicycling, and other recreational activities.
