Dev (artist)
Dev (born 5 September 1947) is a Punjabi artist and poet based in Switzerland. Biography Dev was born in 1947 in Jagraon, Punjab, India. When he was 5 he moved to Nairobi, where his father was working for the British Railways. He returned to India in 1964. He published his first poetry collection in 1969. In 1979, he moved to Switzerland because he was highly influenced by Swiss artist Paul Klee. Since then he has lived in various cities in and outside Europe such as Bern, Barcelona and Buenos Aires. He currently lives in Rubigen, Bern. Bern

Jagraon
Jagraon is a city and a municipal council, a rural police district and a sub-division of the Ludhiana district in the Indian state of Punjab. Jagraon is more than three centuries old. It has been thought that the city's original name was Jagar aon, meaning "a place of great flooding," although this flooding has since ceased. It could also be argued that Jagraon actually derives from a source with a suffix "-graon" being a development of the Sanskrit '' Grama'', meaning "village" as in the Hindi word ''Gaon''. Nairobi
Nairobi ( ) is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The name is derived from the Maasai phrase ''Enkare Nairobi'', which translates to "place of cool waters", a reference to the Nairobi River which flows through the city. The city proper had a population of 4,397,073 in the 2019 census, while the metropolitan area has a projected population in 2022 of 10.8 million. Paul Klee
Paul Klee (; 18 December 1879 – 29 June 1940) was a Swiss-born German artist. His highly individual style was influenced by movements in art that included expressionism, cubism, and surrealism. Klee was a natural draftsman who experimented with and eventually deeply explored color theory, writing about it extensively; his lectures ''Writings on Form and Design Theory'' (''Schriften zur Form und Gestaltungslehre''), published in English as the '' Paul Klee Notebooks'', are held to be as important for modern art as Leonardo da Vinci's '' A Treatise on Painting'' was for the Renaissance. Sahitya Akademi Award
The Sahitya Akademi Award is a literary honour in India, which the Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters, annually confers on writers of the most outstanding books of literary merit published in any of the 22 languages of the 8th Schedule to the Indian constitution as well as in English and Rajasthani language. Established in 1954, the award comprises a plaque and a cash prize of ₹ 1,00,000. The award's purpose is to recognise and promote excellence in Indian writing and also acknowledge new trends. The annual process of selecting awardees runs for the preceding twelve months. The plaque awarded by the Sahitya Akademi was designed by the Indian film-maker Satyajit Ray. Prior to this, the plaque occasionally was made of marble, but this practice was discontinued because of the excessive weight.
