Dev-Em
Dev-Em is a fictional character who appears in DC Comics. He first appeared in ''Adventure Comics'' #287 (June 1961), created by Jerry Siegel and George Papp. Various versions of the Dev-Em character have appeared over the years in ''Legion of Super-Heroes'' related comic books. The original Dev-Em is a Kryptonian juvenile delinquent that attacked Superboy; after being thwarted by Superboy, Dev-Em traveled to the 30th century and becomes an occasional ally of the Legion. Following the ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' continuity reboot, he is re-imagined as a Daxamite. Post-''Infinite Crisis'', he was once again made a Kryptonian; a criminal sentenced to the Phantom Zone. ''Krypton'' is an American science fiction television series developed by David S. Goyer for Syfy. Focusing on Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the grandfather of DC Comics superhero Kal-El / Superman, the series is set approximately 200 years before the birth of Superman and takes place on the eponymous fictional planet. ''Krypton'' premiered on March 21, 2018. Its first season consists of ten episodes. The second season of ten episodes premiered on June 12, 2019. Aaron Pierre (actor)
Aaron Stone Pierre (born 7 June 1994) is an English actor. After training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Pierre gained recognition for his role as Dev-Em in the science fiction series ''Krypton'' (2018–2019). He starred in the period drama miniseries '' The Underground Railroad'' (2021), and the thriller films '' Old'' (2021) and '' Rebel Ridge'' (2024). Also in 2024, he portrayed Malcolm X in the miniseries ''Genius '' and voiced Mufasa in '' Mufasa: The Lion King''. Early life Pierre was born on 7 June 1994 in London. Krypton (comics)
Krypton is a fictional planet appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, most commonly appearing or mentioned in stories starring the superhero Superman as the world from where he came. The planet was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, and was named after the chemical element krypton. The planet was first mentioned in ''Action Comics'' #1 (June 1938) and made its first appearance in ''Superman'' #1 (1939). Krypton is also the homeworld of Supergirl, Krypto the Superdog, Beppo the Super-Monkey, Power Girl (in her case, an alternate-universe version designated "Krypton-Two"), and the supervillain General Zod. The Phantom Zone is a prison-like parallel dimension appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. It is mainly associated with stories featuring Superman.
