Destrii, or the Primatrix Destriianatos, is a fictional Character (arts), character who appeared in the ''Doctor Who Magazine'' comic strip based on the long-running British science fiction on television, science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. She was a companion (Doctor Who), companion of the Eighth Doctor. Character history Destrii is an amphibian, amphibious humanoid with scaly skin, claws and a face resembling that of a fish. She first appears in ''Ophidius'', written by Scott Gray and drawn by Martin Geraghty and Robin Smith. The Doctor (Doctor Who), Doctor and Izzy Sinclair, Izzy encounter her inside the gargantuan snake-like spacecraft known as Ophidius, which swallowed the TARDIS. She is extremely agile, shows remarkable combat abilities and has a knowledge of Earth's popular culture, but is also initially unprincipled and quick to exhibit violent behavior. Eighth Doctor
The Eighth Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. He is portrayed by Paul McGann. The character was introduced in the 1996 TV film ''Doctor Who'', a back-door pilot produced in an unsuccessful attempt to relaunch the series following its 1989 cancellation. While the Eighth Doctor initially had only one on-screen appearance, his adventures were portrayed extensively in subsequent spin-off media, including more than 70 audio dramas starring McGann. Izzy Sinclair
Isabelle "Izzy" Sinclair is a fictional character who appeared in the ''Doctor Who Magazine'' comic strip based on the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. She was a companion of the Eighth Doctor. Izzy was born on October 12, 1979 (the same day that the first issue of ''Doctor Who Weekly'' was published). However, she did not know where she was born, nor did she know who her biological parents were. She was adopted by Les and Sandra Sinclair, but because of her unknown ancestry, chose to call herself Izzy S (for "Izzy Somebody") instead. Ninth Doctor
The Ninth Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. He is portrayed by Christopher Eccleston during the first series of the show's revival in 2005.
