Desirée Owen (née Robertson) is a curling, curler from Grande Prairie, Alberta. Career Owen won two provincial junior titles- in 2003 and in 2005. At the 2003 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, her Alberta team lost to Saskatchewan's Marliese Kasner (then Miller) in the semi-fina 2005 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, In 2005, her team posted an undefeated record after the round robin, but ended up losing to New Brunswick's Andrea Crawford, Andrea Kelly in the fina Owen played third for Crystal Webster until she took the 2009-10 curling season off to have a baby. She did however play for the team as an alternate at the 2009 Canadian Olympic Curling TrialsOwen now skips her own team. The 2006 Trail Appliances Autumn Gold Curling Classic was the 29th annual edition of the event. It marked the first Grand Slam event of the Women's World Curling Tour. Kelly Scott (born June 1, 1977 in Winnipeg, Manitoba as Kelly Lynn Mackenzie) is a Canadian curler from Kelowna, British Columbia. Career 1995–2005 Scott won the 1995 Canadian Junior Curling Championships and the 1995 World Junior Curling Championships when she curled out of Manitoba. She was also runner up at the 1991 Canadian Junior Curling Championships when she played lead for Jill Staub. Scott moved to British Columbia with her family in the late 1990s. In 2005, she won her first BC Tournament of Hearts, defeating Patti Knezevic 7–6 in the final, winning in extra ends. Grand Slam Of Curling
The Grand Slam of Curling (formerly branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that were formerly part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least Canadian dollar, CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World.
