Lani Desmonet Lydic ( ) is an American comedian and actress who is a senior correspondent and rotating host on the late-night talk and news satire program ''The Daily Show''. In 2024, she won an Emmy for her work as host on the show. From 2011 to 2016, she starred as guidance counselor Valerie Marks on the MTV comedy-drama series '' Awkward''.
