Delvinë District (Albanian: ''Rrethi i Delvinës'') was one of the 36 districts of Albania, which were dissolved in July 2000 and replaced by 12 counties. It had a population of 10,859 in 2001, and an area of . Its population included a substantial Greek community. The district is in the south of the country, and its capital was the town of Delvinë. Its territory is now part of Vlorë County: the municipalities of Delvinë and Finiq (partly). Delvinë
Delvinë ( or , ) is a town and a municipality in Vlorë County, southern Albania, northeast of Sarandë. It was formed in the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Delvinë and Vergo, which became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town Delvinë. The population of the municipal unit Delvinë at the 2023 census was 4,952 and of the municipality was 6,166. The town is built on a mountain slope. It has a mosque, a Catholic church, a Protestant church, and an Orthodox church. Nearby are the remainders of a mediaeval castle. To the southwest of the city is the site of ancient Phoenice, which was declared an Archaeological Park in 2005. The town's population consists of a majority of Albanians and a substantial Greek minority. Other communities include Balkan Egyptians and until WWII, Jews. Vlorë County
Vlorë County (; ) is one of the 12 counties of Albania with the city of Vlorë being the county capital. The county spans and has a total population of 146,681 people as of 2023. It borders the counties of Fier and Gjirokastër, as well as the Adriatic and Ionian Sea. Greece borders Vlorë to the south. Vlorë is geographically a very mountainous county. The county stretches along the Adriatic Sea and especially the Ionian Sea, forming the Albanian Riviera. The county has a coastline of . Finiq
Finiq (, sq-definite, Finiqi, ) is a settlement, considered a town or village, and municipality in Vlorë County, in southern Albania located 8 km from the Ionian Sea and 20 km north of the Greek border. It was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former communes Aliko, Dhivër, Livadhja, Mesopotam, and Finiq itself. It is inhabited by ethnic Greeks and is one of two municipalities in Albania in which Greeks form a majority, alongside Dropull. The seat of the municipality is the village Dërmish. The total population is 10,529 (2011 census), in a total area of 444.28 km2. Vergo is a village and a former municipality in the Vlorë County, southern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform, it became a subdivision of the Delvinë municipality.
