Dean MacDonald
Dean MacDonald (born 6 December 2000) is a British racing driver who competes for JP Motorsport in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup. He was the Pro-Am champion of the 2022 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup alongside Miguel Ramos. Career Early career MacDonald's racing career began at an early age, as he received a go-kart as a gift from his father at just one year of age. It sat in the family kitchen for several years while Dean grew old enough to drive it. At age three, he began testing ahead of a true karting debut at age five in Bambino karts. MacDonald enjoyed a successful karting career, becoming the youngest Comer Cadet winner of the Scottish Championship and later winning the Iame International Final in the X30 Pro class in 2019. Cowdenbeath (; sco, Coudenbeith) is a town and burgh in west Fife, Scotland. It is north-east of Dunfermline and north of the capital, Edinburgh. GT World Challenge Europe (known as the Blancpain GT Series between 2014 and 2019) is a sports car racing series organised by SRO Motorsports Group. It features grand tourer racing cars modified from production road cars complying with the FIA's GT3 regulations. The series is divided into two separate championships, the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup and the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, with five weekends each for 2022. Manuel Maldonado Vargas (born 5 October 1999) is a Venezuelan racing driver currently racing in the Euroformula Open Championship for Team Motopark. He is the cousin of former Formula One driver Pastor Maldonado. Career Italian F4 Maldonado's first experience in single seaters was in Italian F4 in 2016. The GT4 European Series is a sports car championship created and organised by SRO Motorsports Group. It is a pro/am championship which followed a formula similar to the FIA GT3 European Championship, which was itself derived from the FIA GT Championship which utilized the GT1 and GT2 classes. The GT4 class cars are the least powerful of the four classes, yet are equalised in order to allow driving skill to become key.
