''Dañado'' is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Iván Cornejo, which was released on June 2, 2022, through Manzana Records. It features a sole guest appearance by American regional Mexican band Eslabon Armado on "La Curiosidad". It peaked at number 28 on the US ''Billboard'' 200 chart and won the award for Regional Mexican Album of the Year at the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Accolades ''Dañado'' received two nominations at the 2023 Latin American Music Awards, which were for Album of the Year and Favorite Regional Mexican Album. Iván Cornejo
Iván Cornejo (born June 5, 2004), is an American singer-songwriter in the regional Mexican genre. Early life and education Cornejo was born in Riverside, California. He endured a breakup in middle school that provided inspiration for songwriting and taught himself how to play the guitar by watching tutorials on YouTube. The first song he learned was Ritchie Valens' version of "La Bamba (song), La Bamba". His earliest music inspirations include T3R Elemento, Grupo Los de la O and Natanael Cano. Career Cornejo's debut album ''Alma Vacía'' peaked at number two on the US Billboard (magazine), '' Billboard'' Regional Mexican Albums chart and number seven on the Top Latin Albums chart. The 30th ''Billboard'' Latin Music Awards presented by ''Billboard'' to honor the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music were held at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida on October 5, 2023. The 8th Annual Latin American Music Awards were held on April 20, 2023, to recognize outstanding achievements for artists in the Latin music industry of 2022, voted by the public. Eslabon Armado is an American regional Mexican group from Patterson, California, formed in 2017. the group's lineup was originally consisted of Pedro Tovar (lead vocals), Brian Tovar (bass), Ulises González (acoustic guitar), and Damián Pacheco (twelve-string guitar) since 2022, until González's departure in March 2025. For most of their career, the group had a three-piece lineup, consisting of brothers Pedro and Brian Tovar, and their friend Gabriel Hidalgo–all natives of Bay Area, California–while they attended Patterson High School.
